Protected Dutch Landscape
2020The river delta in the Netherlands is found in the western part. The land used to be for an important part peat. That has been diged out and used as fuel. That resulted in lakes. Big enough to be a danger when stormy. Later on these lakes were made dry resulting in a landscape with lots of ditches and dykes. Now mainly used for agricultural aims and due to expanding cities.some of the landscapes are protected

The Green Heart
2018In the industralised western part of the Netherlands lies the Green Heart. An agricultural area with meadows and a lot ditches and dykes. Since it is enclosed by cities, industry, roads and other concrete, the horizon reflects a lot of human activity.
